Certified Nurse-Midwife & Director
Angela Kreider, Certified Nurse Midwife, has been caring for women and their families since 1999 and has welcomed over 500 babies into the world. She has been in the Yuba-Sutter area since 2007 where she was a staff nurse- midwife with Fremont Hospital Great Beginnings Program and then most recently was part of the Del Norte Clinic Great Beginnings Program . Angela is originally from Chicago, Illinois but has worked as a nurse-midwife in Nevada and New Mexico before coming to Northern California in 2007.
She attended Loyola University Chicago for her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and received her training as a nurse-midwife and Masters in Nursing from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. Angela is committed to providing compassionate and holistic midwifery care with a special emphasis on nutrition, breastfeeding, and complementary medicine.
Certified Professional Midwife
Allison Blackham is a licensed midwife and nurse with over thirty years of experience working with women and their families. She has been a doula, childbirth educator and birth photographer since 1985, and her nursing practice has covered the entire lifespan, from pediatrics to end of life care. She attended Brigham Young University, National Midwifery Institute, and studied internationally with the midwives of Shiphrah Bahay Paanakan in the Philippines. Allison believes in the well being of the whole woman, her mind, body and spirit. She advocates for wholeness through the building of mutual relationships between woman, midwife and family through dignified, excellent maternal healthcare, empowering education and mutual friendship.
Office Manager & Medical Assistant
Marty has worked in the medical field for the last 20 years, with 18 of those years working in OB/GYN. Although she didn't plan to work in the medical field, she accepted a job in a clinic as a registration clerk and learned and helped patients. She became more interested in thought of making it a career. Marty moved from the Bay Area to the Yuba-Sutter area in 1989 so that her husband could join the family business and with the thought to have her children enjoy a more peaceful way of life. It has now been 18+ years and her family has grown from 3 daughters to 9 grandchildren and she continues to enjoy being a part of women's health and choices available in childbirth.
